Why We Use Product Drops

The core of Nüdel Pod is our charitable mission to create deep, research backed, developmental play for all childrenand product drops help us achieve this goal.

At Nüdel, we don’t mass-produce thousands of toys that sit in a warehouse or on toy shop shelves as this would just make the pod more unattainable instead, we make small, carefully managed batches through Product Drops. Product drops allow us to offer you an extremely high-quality product at a big discount because we don’t pay for warehousing and we bulk ship around the world. This means a little extra waiting time to receive your pod ( retail price pods with instant shipping are also available in our shop if you need a pod urgently) but it makes it much more accessible and inclusive for people who may not normally have been able to afford such a high-quality toy.

What is a Product drop?

A Product Drop means you are buying a pod from a batch of pods we are making. This reserves your Pod now to be shipped in the next batch soon after the product drop ends.— similar to a Kickstarter , EXCEPT for 2 things.

1. We are making the pods during the product so we can ship your pod usually days after the drop ends ( as opposed to some kickstarters that take months or even years. If we have enough pods made we can even start to deliver the first orders part way through the pre drop period like we did in october 2025 where the first 500 pods went out a month before the end of the drop so jump in early.

2. Remain independent instead of needing to getting investment or loans which would increase the price and possibly compromise our values and quality over time.

How Do Product Drops Work?
  1. Get a VIP membership on the website, ( members get more than just big discounts in our product drops including half price spare parts, direct support from the pod designers in our pod squad group and even Free shipping .
  2. Place your order during the Product Drop. After you become a VIP you can click on the options on the the VIP checkout thankyou page or in the VIP thankyou email.
  3. ⁠Behind the scenes we are manufacturing pods so they are ready for when the drop ends.
  4. If the Product drop sells out before the end date. we will let customers know that the current batch is sold out and they are first in line for the next pods available. Usually we see this ahead of time and will have already started making more.
  5. Pods are prepared and shipped based on the shipping method you choose shortly after the Drop closes. If the drop goes well, a second batch may be required — we will communicate on email to VIPs that stock is getting low clearly so nobody feels unsure.
  6. Tracking codes will be emailed within a few days for express orders and usually about a week or so after shipping for regular orders.

    The total time you experience with product drops may feel longer than a typical off-the-shelf product — because it doesn't ship until after the drop ends.
How will I know when the sale goes live?

We’ll send reminders via email and post updates on Facebook.

To avoid missing out:

  • Check your Promotions/Spam folders.
  • Mark our emails as important or “not spam.”
  • Secondly, this might sound silly but the main reason people miss our messages is because they're checking the wrong inbox. Many people have an email which is very old that they use for making PayPal and other payments which is not their daily email, and the emails are going to the payment email address, so please make sure you check that. If it's going to the wrong address please send us an email to pod@nudel.shop with the change you require and we will get that fixed right away.
How does the 50% deposit option work?

Secure your order now with a 50% deposit and pay the remaining 50% + shipping ON noted deadline.

Bundle & Save: Add the Hammock Pack and Nüdel Wood Balm for free normal shipping or heavily reduced express shipping.

Is there a difference in price if I buy now or wait for Product Drops?

No difference, the price is the same.

Pre-purchasing just lets you secure your Pod early and skip the rush.

As of now, we’ve already sold over three-quarters of available Pods, so waiting might mean missing out.

Shipping Option & Timeframes

We want to be completely transparent so you know exactly what to expect.

Free Standard Shipping (Sea Freight)

This is the default option included with your order.
Sea shipping typically takes:
• Australia & USA: Approximately 25–55 days depending on your distance from the east coast of australia and the west coast of the USA.
• Canada & some other regions: Closer to the 55-day end of the range

We never want to overpromise — sea freight is affordable and reliable, but it is not fast.

Express Shipping (Air Freight)

Faster and more reliable, at customer cost.
Delivery is usually 12–18 days depending on your location.

Super Express Shipping

Our fastest option.
Delivery can be as little as 10 days once the product is ready to ship.

When Shipping + Product Drop Feels Longer

Between a Product Drop + your chosen shipping speed, the total wait time may feel longer than you’re used to with instant warehouse dispatch.

We totally understand — waiting for something special can feel uncomfortable.

But your Nüdel Pod is not a quick, plastic toy.
It’s a long-term developmental resource designed to replace thousands of dollars of other toys and support your child for years.

Do you offer free or reduced shipping?

Yes!

Bundle & Save: Get free shipping or reduced express shipping when you add the Hammock Pack & Nüdel Wood Balm to your Pod order.

Free shipping applies to AU, US, UK & CA (excluding remote areas).

Outside these zones, you’ll still get significantly reduced shipping rates when you order the Pod + Hammock Pack + Wood Balm together.

(Standard rates apply for Pod-only orders.)

When will I receive my order?

Delivery timelines depend on your location and the type of shipping you choose. The numbers of days are listed on the shipping options. 

Pod will be shipped around 1-2 weeks after the product drop ends, so choose shipping carefully depending on your needs.

Please note we take every care (we really do take shipping times VERY seriously), but once it leaves our warehouse, we can't be held responsible for the crazy world of global shipping. Sometimes there are storms and the wind blows the wrong direction. 

Please remember: we have a 2-weeks processing time before shipping, so add two extra week to your shipping estimate.

Can I order from overseas (NZ, Japan, UK, etc.)?

Yes, we ship everywhere!

Can I change my shipping address?

Yes, as long as your order hasn’t shipped yet.

How can I track my order?

Once shipped, you’ll receive an email from Stone Logistics with your tracking code. This lets you monitor your order every step of the way.

Remote or Out-Of-Area Shipping Charges

While we make every effort to ensure accurate shipping rates at checkout, there may be occasions where the shipping address is classified by our courier or logistics partner as remote, rural, or outside our standard delivery zones.

In such cases, additional shipping fees may apply. If this occurs, we will contact you via email as soon as we are notified by our shipping agent. You will have the option to:

Proceed with your order by paying the additional shipping fee, or

Cancel your order for a full refund if you prefer not to proceed.

We reserve the right to place your order on hold until the additional fee is confirmed and received.

When will Onyx Pods ship?

Onyx Pods are a new design and are being produced in a separate production run after the Black Friday Product Drop. Shipping will begin once this production run is complete.

Update – 3 December 2025:

Production of Onyx Pods has been completed and they are scheduled to be shipped to our manufacturer within 48 hours of the end of the Product Drop. Everything is on time, and customer shipping will begin as soon as humanly possible once they arrive and are processed.

Your delivery timeframe will depend on the shipping method you select at checkout. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive tracking details by email.

The Pods

What’s the difference between the OG Pod, Rainbow Pod, and Onyx Pod?
  • OG Pod – Natural wood with blue silk and rings. Classic and timeless. The best value.
  • Rainbow Pod – Same pieces as OG, but with colorful silk and rainbow rings. Bright and playful. By far the most popular.
  • Onyx Pod – Sleek black finish, waterproof front and back, includes edge wax and our premium, strongest, most durable design. Available in Onyx OG (yellow rings) or Onyx Rainbow (rainbow rings and silk).

All Pods function the same — the difference is in style and durability.

What age group is the Nüdel Pod suitable for?

The Nüdel Pod meets global safety standards and contains NO choking hazards. The Pod pieces are suitable for children 6 months and up and the configurations are suitable for 1 year +(supports up to 50kg).

Manufacturing Characteristics

Due to normal manufacturing and finishing processes, your Nüdel Pod may contain small amounts of residual dust that can become dislodged during shipping. Upon receiving your Pod, we recommend wiping it with a dry, soft cloth for OG and Rainbow Pods, or a damp cloth for the Onyx Pod, to remove any remaining surface dust prior to use. The presence of such dust is not considered a product fault.
